Small Craft House began in a sunlit workshop in Christchurch, Dorset. I make small wooden houses, beach huts and handcrafted gifts. Each piece is lovingly shaped by hand and finished with care. Living so close to Dorset’s beautiful beaches and the tranquil New Forest, I find inspiration for my work which celebrates simple, country design and the quiet charm of coastal life.

What I make

• Little wooden houses, miniature homes with character, ideal for mantelpieces, shelves and displays.

• Beach huts and caravans, scaled-down versions that capture the colour and nostalgia of the British seaside.

• Gifts and ornaments, thoughtful, handmade pieces for birthdays, housewarmings and special occasions.

Every item is made in my Christchurch workshop adding creative detail to each piece. I assemble each component by hand, then sand and paint to bring out the best in the wood. Finishes are chosen to complement the designs and to withstand gentle handling.

My work is sold in independent shops, at craft fairs and artisan markets around Dorset and the south coast. Exhibiting locally lets me meet customers, hear their stories and respond to what people love about handmade pieces.

I try to source timber and materials responsibly and to minimise waste in the workshop. Small-batch production and repairable designs mean pieces can be enjoyed for years.
